Course Description: A 20 hour course breaking down the 34 classic Pilates Mat exercises. The course includes lecture hours on basic anatomy and biomechanics, postural evaluation, gait analysis, the history of Pilates exercise and teaching techniques. The demonstration and practice teaching portions of the course include verbal and tactile cueing of each exercise and an extensive breakdown including modifications and variations. The participant will learn the ability to analyze an individual and organize an appropriate workout regime for their specific body type and needs. Upon completion of the course and written exam, the participant will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in Pilates Mat Work.
